Partnership Created to Help Protect the Planet and Secure a Sustainable Future
Earth Day marks the anniversary of what many consider to be the start of the modern environmental movement, encouraging a growing sense of environmental consciousness worldwide. To help celebrate the 45th anniversary of Earth Day, BioFlora® has partnered with the Earth Day Network in an effort to protect the planet by promoting sustainable farming practices.
Sustainable farming is a blend of organic and conventional programs, which consider economic realities, soil ecology and fertility, in addition to future generation’s ability to farm the same soils. BioFlora® products reduce the agricultural community’s dependence on harmful chemical fertilizers, by following a philosophy that fits directly into the Earth Day Networks’ “Acts of Green” campaign.
“BioFlora contributes every day to Earth Day Networks initiatives by sharing a passionate belief in environmental sustainability,” said Luke Blotsky, managing partner and CEO of BioFlora®. “We only provide services that reinforce our personal motto ‘Nature Knows Best®’.”
An initiative launched in 2010; the campaign has inspired “Acts of Green” from individuals, businesses, governments and civic organizations by furthering environmental awareness and education. BioFlora® is proud to join forces with the contributions that have already made the “Acts of Green” campaign a success and one of the largest environmental movements worldwide. Currently, the network has reached over one billion acts of environmental sustainability and has set a new goal to reach two billion.
In addition to BioFlora’s everyday mission to support the Earth Day Network, the company will be contributing a percentage of profits to plant more than 200 trees with the Networks’ renowned Canopy Project. So far, the project has planted 1.5 million trees in 18 countries, including the restoration of urban canopies in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Atlanta, Baltimore, Cleveland, and Chicago.
