Global Organics® Sponsors ASU Biodesign Remediation Forum

May 22, 2015

Launch of “Year of Healthy Soil and Water” Initiative

Global Organics® (GO) is honored to sponsor and attend the first Remediation Forum at Arizona State University’s (ASU)  Biodesign Institute on May 19, 2015. This forum will launch ASU’s “Year of Healthy Soil and Water” initiative, which encourages the discussion for new methods to help clean Arizona’s soil and water. Attendees of the event will include environmental engineers, federal officials, and representatives from the Navajo, Apache, Hopi, Zuni, Gila and Tohono O’odham nations.

In the 10 years since it opened, The Biodesign Institute has played a critical role in advancing the research mission of Arizona State University, becoming home to scientists who have ushered in advances to make people healthier, clean up the environment, and protect the planet against biological threats. Encompassing 350,000 square-feet of award winning, state-of-the-art, LEED certified buildings; the Biodesign Institute represents Arizona’s single largest research infrastructure investment in the biosciences. Created on the premise that scientists can overcome complex societal issues, the institute’s researchers are addressing an expansive array of global challenges by creating “bio-inspired” solutions.

In a follow-up from the event, Dr. Rolf Halden, Director for the Center of Environmental Security stated, “We were happy to showcase the scientific work taking place at the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University and hope that some of our technologies and capabilities may help to further the cause of sustainable management of natural resources in Arizona and beyond.”

This comprehensive way of thinking and using nature to help solve today’s issues fits directly in line with Global Organics® business model. Global Organics® was founded on the belief that “Nature Knows Best,” and the GO team considers themselves to be “stewards of the environment.” To achieve this, Global Organics® agricultural division BioFlora® has worked extensively on bio-remediation efforts since its inception, and has taken great strides in its patented isolate and algae technologies. These technologies have been utilized in products such as GO Isolates™, GOgreen®, Bio-Generator™, and BioScrubbers™, all of which have been empirically proven to help in environmental cleanup efforts. Global Organics® looks forward to partnering with leading scientists at ASU to continue this discussion, advance research and discovery, and assume a fundamental responsibility for the state and overall health of Arizona’s soil and water.
